The large 5-inch flowers are rich red with finely ruffled edges and a contrasting bright yellow throat. ‘Prairie Wildfire’ flowers have a delicate fragrance for an added bonus!

Rhubarb ‘Canada Red’
Last weekend we picked our 87 year old grandma up to walk through the greenhouses. And on our walk she saw the ‘Canada Red’ Rhubarb and reminded us of last year when she got to pick some when it was ripe. All she could talk about was how good and sweet the Rhubarb sauce was that she had made. So in a few months the time will be here again that grandma will be making Rhubarb sauce. Oh the joys of Spring!
(Rhubarb) Rhubarb ‘Canada Red‘ is Great for PIES! Naturally Sweet n’ Red! It features juicy stalks that are cherry-red clear through. It keeps its color when cooked. Stalks are high in sugar and tender with no need to peel. Plants are hardy perennials and suitable for northern zones, very easy to grow and trouble free. One plant of ‘Canada Red’ will supply you with enough fruit for many pies and jam. Its pucker-power is exactly what makes rhubarb the world’s favorite pie plant.
Superbells® Red Calibrachoa
I love the intense red color of Superbells Red when planted in my hanging baskets. It is a heavy bloomer that trails nicely over the sides of my baskets. I enjoy mixing Verbena Dark Blue and Strawburst™ Yellow Bracteantha with the Red for a vivid color combination.
(Million Bells) Superbells® Red Calibrachoa is a strong performer in the Calibrachoa family. The deep red color is striking and makes a nice patriotic planter when planted with white and blue. Superbells® Red is one of P. Allen Smith’s Proven Winners® “Hot 25″ picks for 2010.
Dicentra ‘Burning Hearts’
‘Burning Hearts’ PPAF is one of my favorite Dicentra. The deep red heart shape flowers contrast the blue-gray fern style foliage very well. This is an excellent plant for part to full shade plant. The long bloom time is an added bonus. ‘Burning Hearts’ PPAF is a must have for any shade garden.
(Bleeding Heart-Fern-leaved) Dicentra ‘Burning Hearts’ PPAF will add color to the front of your shade border with its neat, compact form that blooms from mid spring until the first frost. Dicentra ‘Burning Hearts’ PPAF has deep rose-red, heart-shaped blossoms that are suspended on curved stems over the feathery blue-grey foliage. Potted in your favorite container, the 10-inch height and 12-inch width plant is a great way to fill that empty shady spot in your landscape.
I am choosing Heuchera ‘Paris’ for the impressive show of flowers. Standing tall above the green foliage are the red flowers that ‘Paris’ produces all summer long.
(Coral Bells) Heuchera ‘Paris’ PP18,881 is a free-flowering cousin to ‘Hollywood‘ PP17,129 with striking, medium size white-veiled leaves that give rise to columns of large, deep rose colored flowers. An excellent repeat bloomer which makes ‘Paris’ PP18,881 great in containers and in the border. Hummingbirds and butterflies will love the bright color!
Lupines have always been one of my favorite flowers. One of the first signs of spring to appear in my garden is my Lupine ‘Gallery Red‘ & ‘Gallery Blue‘ they just remind me that summer is on its way!
(Lupine) Lupinus ‘Gallery Red’ is an extremely hardy Lupine selection with spikes of delicate, pea-shaped, red flowers. Hummingbirds and butterflies love the intense red color of this great perennial! ‘Gallery Red’ is an incredible performer for Northern gardens.
