Digitalis ‘Candy Mountain’

dig candy mtn 1x1

(Foxglove) Digitalis ‘Candy Mountain’ is the first foxglove ever to have upward-facing flowers instead of the usual downward-facing ones! This unique feature allows you to view the beautifully speckled flower throats from above instead of having to get down on your knees to see their true beauty. In early summer, the ‘Candy Mountain’ rose pink flowers completely surround the strong flower spikes and make a dramatic look for the back of the border. This plant is a biennial.

Iris germanica ‘Tanzanian Tangerine’

iris taznian tangerine 1x1

(Iris-Tall Bearded) Iris ‘Tanzanian Tangerine’ is a very unique addition. Ruffled, peachy tan flowers have clear standards, but the falls are misted with a fine spray of red wine color. A subtle red wine picotee edge and orange beards complete the look. The colorful mix on ‘Tanzanian Tangerine‘ make this a great choice for your spring garden.

I give this a A+ for color!~ Heidi

Bangle™ Genista lydia ‘Select’

Bangle™ Genista lydia 'Select 1x1

(Dyers-Greenwood) Bangle™ Genista is a new, more floriferous and longer blooming selection of Genista that produces waves of electric yellow flowers in early spring. After the spring bloom, this nearly leafless plant has bright green stems that provide interesting year round texture and color.  Bangle™ is easy to grow and makes a lovely low hedge of 2 feet tall by 2 feet wide. Heat tolerant and adaptable to nearly any well-drained soil. A Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub.

Note from Heidi: I love the mass of mounding yellow color in the spring when this little jewel blooms. It gives the garden a great punch of yellow color when very few things are blooming.

Callie® Mango Calibrachoa

calle mango 1x1

I generally am not a peach/coral person when it comes to flowers. BUT I must say I am in LOVE with the new Callie Mango Calibrachoa. The blooms are much larger than many other Calibrachoas and the color is absolutely stunning. The flower power that this plant gives is also amazing. I have used this in many combination basket planting and it never fails to fill out the whole side of the basket in a mass of color. I will choose the Callie series over any other calibrachoa out there!

(Million Bells) Callie® Mango Calibrachoa is an easy to grow Calibrachoa that is ideal for large containers and combo planters. The almost coral color of Callie® Mango adds an eye-catching new look to your color combinations.

Edgy™ Hearts Hydrangea

macrophylla ‘Horheart’ PPAF

edgy hearts 1x1

If there is one Hydrangea that I have to say is my favorite, Edgy Hearts just took the prize. I had planted one of these in a large container to put in my yard this spring. And needless to say it was ready before my yard was ready so I put it in the store to be sold. Everybody asked “is it real”? The deep dark green foliage looked like plastic. The masses of HUGE blooms looked to good to be real. Everybody came up to it and just had to touch it to be sure. The blooms were much larger than what my hand could hold and the amount of blooms were just amazing. The strong sturdy stems held the large blooms with no problem. A must have for you Hydrangea collection!

(Hydrangea Picotee) Edgy™ Hearts Hydrangea has dark pinkish-red flowers, with heart-shaped petals that are emphasized by narrow, white line margins along the edges. Edgy™ Hearts was developed in Dresden, Germany and grows to 2-4 feet with strong stems and glossy foliage. The addition of aluminum sulfate will push the flower color to a blue hue creating a dramatic new look. A Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub
