Euphorbia polychroma ‘Bonfire’
(Spurge) Euphorbia ‘Bonfire’ PP18,585 is a hot new perennial with striking mahogany red foliage. Unlike other Euphorbias that may turn red in the fall, ‘Bonfire’ PP18,585 displays its smoldering red foliage all summer long! Radiant chartreuse flower bracts provide a nice contrast in the spring. A nice mounding habit with foliage that is resistant to deer and rabbits.
ColorBlaze™ Dark Star Coleus
We made up some beautiful combination planters this year and this is one of them. In this combination we included Coleus Dark Star, Lemon Symphony Osteospermum and Calibrachoa Blue. A suggestion that I have to make a nice full looking Coleus is to trim them back to about 6″ once they originally get about 12″.
(Coleus) Color Blaze™ Dark Star Solenostemon is a must have for all coleus lovers. The stunning dark purple foliage gives great color all season long. Color Blaze™ Dark Star is another great introduction from Proven Winners!

Callie® Mango Calibrachoa
I generally am not a peach/coral person when it comes to flowers. BUT I must say I am in LOVE with the new Callie Mango Calibrachoa. The blooms are much larger than many other Calibrachoas and the color is absolutely stunning. The flower power that this plant gives is also amazing. I have used this in many combination basket planting and it never fails to fill out the whole side of the basket in a mass of color. I will choose the Callie series over any other calibrachoa out there!
(Million Bells) Callie® Mango Calibrachoa is an easy to grow Calibrachoa that is ideal for large containers and combo planters. The almost coral color of Callie® Mango adds an eye-catching new look to your color combinations.
Edgy™ Hearts Hydrangea
macrophylla ‘Horheart’ PPAF
If there is one Hydrangea that I have to say is my favorite, Edgy Hearts just took the prize. I had planted one of these in a large container to put in my yard this spring. And needless to say it was ready before my yard was ready so I put it in the store to be sold. Everybody asked “is it real”? The deep dark green foliage looked like plastic. The masses of HUGE blooms looked to good to be real. Everybody came up to it and just had to touch it to be sure. The blooms were much larger than what my hand could hold and the amount of blooms were just amazing. The strong sturdy stems held the large blooms with no problem. A must have for you Hydrangea collection!
(Hydrangea Picotee) Edgy™ Hearts Hydrangea has dark pinkish-red flowers, with heart-shaped petals that are emphasized by narrow, white line margins along the edges. Edgy™ Hearts was developed in Dresden, Germany and grows to 2-4 feet with strong stems and glossy foliage. The addition of aluminum sulfate will push the flower color to a blue hue creating a dramatic new look. A Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub

Carex testacea
If you are looking for a grass that takes on different colors as the seasons change, be sure to check out Carex Orange Sedge. This relatively short grass, standing only 12-24 inches tall is great for borders, or make a large statement and plant in masses.
(Orange Sedge Grass) Carex testacea features finely textured and gracefully arching olive-colored foliage. In the fall, the foliage takes on a coppery-orange color that is simply stunning and continues through winter! Looks magnificent in borders, containers, or cascading over walls. Carex testacea prefers moist soil and sun to part shade.
Callie® White w/ Rose Vein Calibrachoa
I have found myself using Callie® White w/ Rose Vein Calibrachoa quite frequently in the combination planters that I have been planting for myself. I really think that the bright pink veining is really brought out when planted with Geranium Americana® Violet or another Geranium in the pinks family. I often then accent the combination with a Purple Verbena such as Lanai® Blue Denim. I have said it before and I will say it again I really love the way the Callie® Calibrachoas perform, they are very showy and produce a ton of flowers that make a huge impact!
Hemerocallis ‘Fooled Me‘

It’s no joke, Hemerocallis ‘Fooled Me’ is a wonderful Designer Daylily! Hemerocallis ‘Fooled Me’ is a 5 ½ inch golden yellow flower that creates visual interest with an attractive deep red eye and matching picotee edge. The award winning blooms also boast “pie crust” crimped edges on the rounded petals. ‘Fooled Me’ blooms midsummer with extended bloom flowers that last at least 16 hours each.
Brunnera macrophylla ‘King’s Ransom’
Once the bright blue Forget Me Not flowers start to appear you will not forget that summer is near!
(Heartleaf Brunnera) Brunnera ‘King’s Ransom’ PPAF have a creamy yellow margin on it’s leaves with a light “frosting” over the remainder of the leaves giving the plant a silver and gold appearance. Dainty blue flowers float above the plant in the spring as the leaf margins lighten to a creamy white. ‘King’s Ransom’ PPAF is jointly introduced by Terra Nova and Walters Gardens, Inc. Its size makes it the perfect choice for combination containers as well as for mass plantings.
Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips:
Brunnera ‘King’s Ransom’ is a woodland plant that should be grown in shaded areas where the soil is rich and consistently moist. In northern climates, morning sun is acceptable as long as the soil do not dry out. Very little care is needed once Brunnera is established. Old foliage should be cut back in the spring rather than in the fall. The old foliage will help to protect the plant during the winter months. A winter mulch is also recommended. Propagation is by division
