Anna-Louise™ Clematis

Clematis 'Anna Louise'

(Clematis) This is the first year we have carried Clematis ‘Anna Louise‘. I love the contrast of purple and magenta on each petal. Standing 8-10 foot with its large 5-6″ vibrant flowers ‘Anna Louise‘ is a stand out. The white anthers contrast beautifully with the purple red flower. Blooming early summer and early fall this reblooming clematis is sure to please.

Cityline™ Paris Hydrangea

Cityline Paris Hydrangea

With all the Hydrangeas starting to show their colors, Cityline™ Paris Hydrangea (Big Leaf Hydrangea) is the one that is sporting the darkest of pinks. The compact habit of the Cityline series allows them to fit into almost any garden space you have available. Cityline™ Paris Hydrangea standing a mere 3foot tall and getting the same width this little girl has loads of big flowers that display a lot of color. The Cityline Series blooms on old wood so be sure not to trim them back in the fall or spring. Cityline™ Paris Hydrangea is another great introduction from Proven Winners Color Choice Plants.

Tiarella ‘Sugar and Spice’ PP16,738

Tiarella 'Sugar and Spice' Photo Property of Garden Crossings

(Foamflower) Tiarella ‘Sugar and Spice’ PP16,738 is the result of extensive breeding efforts at Terra Nova Nurseries and perhaps the best Tiarella ever! The dramatic, lacy leaves are painted with heavily marked dark centers and have a shiny appearance that almost appears to be lacquered. In spring, a profusion of lightly fragrant bottlebrush flowers are displayed for a very long time. The flowers of ‘Sugar & Spice‘ PP16,738 are white with a unique pink frosting.

Aquilegia x caerulea ‘Origami Red & White’

(Columbine) Aquilegia 'Origami Red & White'

The colors of spring, besides Lupine, Columbines has go to be my second favorite spring blooming flower. It does not matter which Aquilegia variety it is they are all a wonderful addition to spring. Aquilegia ‘Origami Red & White’ is a wonderful bloomer with color lasting up to 12 weeks. When the plant is done blooming you can let the seed pods dry up and then sprinkle seeds all around. I will warm you have go to love Columbine if you choose to doe this because you will have them everywhere. So pick a great location and spread the seeds in love. ‘Origami Red & White’ is a great plant choice when looking to bring in natures added attractions of butterflies and hummingbirds. But don’t worry the unwanted guests of deer and rabbit will usually leave this plant alone.

Bourbon™ Clematis ‘Evipo 018′

Clematis 'Bourbon'

I have always thought that the picture that was supplied to us when we first started selling ‘Bourbon’ made it look like an amazing Clematis. The other day when I was walking through the greenhouses I found one in bloom. This was the first time that I had actually seen the real deal, and I am very impressed by the beautiful coloration of this bloom. The blooms are just as large as the description says. I think I may need to find a new home for a “Bourbon” Clematis this year! -Heidi

(Clematis) Bourbon™ Clematis is an exciting new compact clematis from Raymond J. Evison. Evison specifically hybridized this prized variety for patio containers. The compact growth reaches only 3-4 feet tall, which makes it a perfect fit for large patio pots. Bourbon™ is equally happy though when grown in the ground and allowed to scramble up a small trellis. The large 6 inch flowers are red with bright purple bars in the center of each petal. Flowers rebloom throughout the summer for an incredible display!
